A spring lake, a cold night's breeze and fleeting warmth slowly vaporising from your skin. These are the moments in between having an all-nighter cottage sauna. Surrounded by the Finnish nature in all it's glory.

Iso Syöte
Last month I spent a week alone in the nature around an empty ski resort Iso Syöte, where our family cottage lies. The first two days were spent in a great company, but I decided to stay there because the weather was just outstanding (in Finnish standards, at least).
I woke up every morning at 5 am to catch the morning mist floating all around the forest. Swam every day, enjoyed the weathers and just basically breathed it all in. While being there I had noticed that I hadn't actually been fully alone a single day in the past two years. Still after a month I can feel the effect of this week in my bones. A good relaxed state of mind. The sunrises and the fog out there were out of this world for that one perfect week.
I'm actually going back there tomorrow for some autumn colours, but the weather looks a bit horrible..
Let's see what happens!
